When You Should Consider Visiting a Christian Counselor?

Christian Counseling.001This is my first guest post written by Joseph Williams.  Joseph is a member at Seven Oaks, friend, and Christian counselor.  I asked him to write several posts regarding Christian counseling.  There will be four posts spread out over the next few weeks.  I hope they will be a blessing. Joseph’s contact information will follow each post.

There may come a time in your life when you need an impartial third party to help you. That is where counseling comes into the picture. A Christian counselor is someone who carefully listens to your situation and helps you brainstorm for possible solutions. He provides guidance using Christian based principles and wisdom. No one will know that you are coming to a counselor unless you tell him or her because your counselor will maintain the strictest confidentiality. Counseling is an investment you make in yourself for a better quality of life.

Here are some reasons you should visit a counselor:

• You want a better quality of life and are ready to make the necessary changes.
• You have relationship difficulties with a spouse, family member, or friend.
• You are sick and tired of being sick and tired and are ready to change.
• You are experiencing a great deal of anxiety and you may have trouble sleeping.
• You are experiencing a great deal of depression and you may have trouble sleeping.
• Your child is having a difficult time and needs some guidance.
• You need encouragement and affirmation to do what you know you need to do.
• You know life could be better, but do not know how to make it so.
• You believe you could benefit from someone who could be like a life coach to you.
